General Homecare creating forever home support for even more Australians!

By September 2, 2024No Comments

General Homecare is growing its effort to help more Australians find great home-based care and support.

With a vision to ensure home support is something that people need to find only once, it continues to seek and strengthen community-established businesses, born from the hearts and minds of impassioned founders.

“Our focus is helping home care businesses with great pedigree and community standing to remain sustainable long into the future,” explained CEO Norbert Walther.

“The sector has faced a lot of change in recent years, so we’re enabling great providers to continue to serve older Australians and people with disabilities, with the kind of service they deserve.

“We’re protecting providers that have built strong foundations – often over decades – to ensure clients only need to find a home care provider once.”

The group is now made up of 5 businesses including Mornington Peninsula-based SAI, Age Up in Melbourne, 365 Care in Western Sydney, and newly renamed Homewell (formerly Care With Quality) in Melbourne’s north and Harbour At Home (formerly NSW Home Support Services) in Coffs Harbour and surrounds.

After 30 years of operations, there was a recognition for both Homewell and Harbour At Home that they needed to better reflect the communities and people they had long served.

With the same commitment to personal care and community connections, each business is now set to grow into the hearts and homes of even more locals.

“At General Homecare, we’re providing a safe haven for best of breed home care providers – so more Australians can find the forever home care support they need.”
